We have a few projects being worked on right now.
We are working on laying out the World War II book you have been following. What I have posted here are the excerpts from his travel diary only. The book includes letters home, pictures, and some letters from his family.
We are also working on layout of the Friendship Sloop Society’s 50th Anniversary book. This will be a coffee table type of book with pictures of sloops and some details on each. Many members have sent in stories and information to be included. We will also put in group pictures and stories from old yearbooks.
We just received a new set of transcriptions in which will be started today. I can’t wait to hear what it’s all about!
My other big project is with the school. It is an Oral History Class with 5 young men, 12-13, who are learning about interviewing, history, writing and publishing. We will be going to a local retirement center and interviewing 5 residents for about a month. Then, start to write their story and get it published. The students will be looking for donated/discounted services for the publishing, so if you know of anyone who may want to help, please let us know….
